Ya that’s such a pain. in Tokyo I emailed the grand Hyatt to help and they were more than happy to help me with PST. And they even gave me 2 time slots which was amazing 🙏🏼

…. The main issue that I wanted to add is many of these places only take calling or walk in so that’s why it’s hard to get a spot. So either your hotel can help or try Marumo which I believe is the only one that has online reservation system.

So the big 4 that I know is Pizza Studio Tamaki (PST), Seirinkan, Savoy, Pizza Marumo. We did PST and our hotel helped us book it since it was only calling. But I heard Marumo is easy to get a reservation. I hear that pizza bar on 38th at mandarin oriental is really popular but hard to get a spot

We made reservations at both sushi omakase places we went, also at one of the more popular Japanese pizza places too.

Depends on what you are eating. For omakases or a nicer place, I would make a reservation if you want to guarantee a spot. But if it’s just like a ramen place then no

I stayed at the grand Hyatt which is next to Roppongi station on the hibiya line. But I would try to stay at a hotel next to a station on the Yamanote line as it’s the most convenient and connects all the major neighborhoods
