It is. I know we have our issues with knives but only so much damage you can do with a knife. It doesn’t automatically reload like. 😢

It is. And as someone from the uk, it baffles us as to why your government don’t act on these issues. I genuinely feel for you x

Hate that!! It’s the one trigger warning I require 😆

very few people want to assist in the death of someone who hasn’t consented. And it’s actually not as easy as people think to end the life of another human — even the most evil ones.

The problem is that ALOT of murderers of extreme violent crime don’t have the psychological capacity to consider repercussions in terms of the end result because they don’t think they’ll get caught . So it doesn’t matter what the consequences are or whether the sentence is carried out for others.

Is not guaranteed. Neither is it administered by medical professionals, as I understand it. And I imagine it takes a toll on those who do administer it. At least before the person did actually die.

It’s not the law in my country. There is accountability— she’s in prison. Even if you support the death penalty, this current system is barbaric because it involves unnecessary suffering. The injections are No longer made with the same ingredients they once were and so, in a healthy person, death

2 wrongs don’t make a right. We have to be better than that. The death sentence is barbaric. More research is needed into violent crime to understand why it happens and how it can be prevented. The only way to do that is to study violent offenders over time. We have to stop closing the stable door…

Me too. It’s barbaric even in the most extreme criminal cases. 2 wrongs don’t make a right and I’d argue that the most extreme criminal cases are often people who are mentally unwell.

Lethal injections used to be lethal, but the availability of those drugs now mean they are using different ingredients which are not necessarily lethal to healthy individuals.

Ego and complacency is epidemic. And it’s women who typically suffer.

I’ve listened to nurses who said they were bullied for reporting other nurses or doctors, so much so that they quit. I’ve heard inquests into newborn deaths where consultants have failed to intervene in time, lie on the stand.

My daughter’s doctor repeatedly prescribed her medication that was making her epilepsy worse, at higher and higher doses. Ive argued with doctors who said my high white blood cell count was just ‘you’. It wasn’t. A professional is not an expert.

The standard required by the cps, given the amount of contradictory medical evidence

It has to be looked at by the ccrc. What’s scary is that she only has 3 chances so if they turn her down now, that’s it. If they refer back to the court of appeal, they will likely quash the convictions in favour of a retrial. Except a retrial is highly unlikely because the evidence No longer meets
