Really sceptical that eSIMs are a good idea. I’ve now had three direct experiences where attempting a transfer to a new phone has left the service in limbo.

social media that's bad for minors is obviously bad for adults too. crazy to me that the move seems to be to just accept that and ban minors rather than regulate the obvious design patterns that were put in there on purpose which make it harmful to its users

there are lots of ways to better regulate these enormous nightmare corporations that don't involve uploading your ID to shady companies to simply use a website
For example, Roblox made children’s accounts private with no chat function to avoid the ban. TikTok and YouTube have significantly strengthened child protections. The list goes on. My advice to the UK would be to go in strong with this, and make the platforms take responsibility.
