Very happy with my first top 500 Duelist Cup finish. Next goal is top 100, but that's going to require me to get much better at the game and grind way more.

Not hard to see I started watching seasonal anime in 2011 by looking at this lol. A suspicious lack of joseimuke anime on this chart, though. Like, how did Sk8 not make the cut in 2021, or Given in 2019, or any Idolish7 season for that matter?

I will say Oguri is much better at dealing with bullies than Ashito though, bless her innocent heart.

A fairly by the book romance with some very solid character writing. I had a good time with it. As an aside, I've only now realized this is a shounen jump series lmao. That very much explains the immediate season two announcement.

Occasionally breathtaking, occasionally frustrating as hell, I did not expect a sequel this messy after how tightly written MyGo was. As far as pure entertainment goes, though, there's not much out there that can measure up to its insanity.

Bold of the show to suddenly have, what is, for all intents and purposes, a battle shounen arc. I would normally be disappointed, but watching Subaru and Emilia so confidently kick ass after all the shit they've been through was satisfying and felt earned.

Anyway, I played White Forest, a solid rouge deck that I quite like for lore and playstyle reasons. Main and extra deck were both perfect, wouldn't change a single card. Looking forward to the 3rd anniversary celebration next month and the inevitable release of our lord and savior Fiendsmith.

Decided I wanted to hit the highest rank in Master Duel this month and it went surprising well. Every once in a while I just feel the need to prove to myself that I'm somewhat decent at this game lol

The title says it all. Kinder and gentler than any of its predecessors. Breaking certain franchise conventions really worked in its favor. I'll miss these lovable goofballs.

This was a fun one. The characters bounce off each other perfectly and the dialogue is consistently witty. Props for the setting too, the fantasy sci-fi fusion comes across as an actual world people live in, instead of just an amalgamation of common tropes.
