Tonight, a member of my local school board told me to my face that he will be voting against taking any kind of stand on the disaster that is school funding in Ohio because it is “not current impacting our school district.”

Everyone who thinks U.S. elections aren’t secure should sign up to be a poll worker.
I did it for the first time on Tuesday, and there are checks and double checks on top of triple checks.
Our elections are fine. The only reason to impose more restrictions is to have fewer people voting. 🤔

I watched the Artemis launch last night, and it was cool, but something felt off. And I think it’s because lunar launches in movies have this hopeful and unifying air to them, but the reality is our country has started a stupid war and is spending billions on it while people lack food and medicine.

The whole “you can check your balance by calling the automated system at this number but only if your balance is above zero but we’re not going to tell you that part” thing about medical billing is not the best system for this level of scatterbrained neurosis.

The last ep was the one where Veronica uncovers tampering with the student body president election that prevents the candidate who wants to make things more equitable from winning, and no adults will stop it 😅

When Trump’s FCC says Colbert can’t air an interview, and you don’t usually watch Colbert’s interviews, you know you need to watch that interview.
I know Kid Rock has once again faded into obsolescence, as he should, but something reminded me this morning that the #1 thing I associate him with is annoyance.
I had a morning drive to the class I TAed around 2005 with the radio on, and I would often hear the intro to “Werewolves of London.”

This is like the millionth time I’ve said it, but I’ll say it again: when I chose not to change my name when I got married 15 years ago, I did it for a lot of reasons. Something like the SAVE act was not remotely one of them.
