The congressional switchboard number is (202) 224-3121. Put it in your cell phone. Use it. If you're not calling at least once a week, you're not doing your part.

It just keeps getting better! I’ll hold your hand… real men being real 💕
Sliwa getting a flu shot: This could be very embarrassing. I’m supposed to be a tough guy, right?

Mamdani: I can hold your hand.

Sliwa: What happens if I faint?

Mamdani: I got you.

Doctor: You’re in great hands, literally.

Okay, I am totally swooning - HCR and Hamilton in the same post?!? And it's about VOTING?? 🥰

All the while, everyone has to show up, in person and do their work. To keep our anemic and underfunded government functioning. Thank a civil servant and make sure they show up to vote in November.
They are supposed to be doing the jobs they are getting paid by taxpayers to do, not using their positions and government resources to fly around the country doing partisan political campaign events.

We speak to author Dave Zirin (@edgeofsports.bsky.social) about his new book, “The People's Historian: The Outsized Life of Howard Zinn.” For Zinn, “being an academic was always secondary to being in the streets and making history, not just studying history,” says Zirin.
