Changing your mind doesn't always mean you've abandoned your principles. It often means you've learned something.

It's better to contradict yourself and be accused of hypocrisy than to stick to your guns and sacrifice your values.

The hallmark of integrity is not consistency. It's honesty.

I write better in long form so here’s my Substack. This one is for those days when you’re just feeling grumpy. open.substack.com/pub/katybein...

The highest compliment from someone who disagrees with you is not “You were right.” It’s “You made me think.”

Good arguments help us recognize complexity where we once saw simplicity.

The ultimate purpose of debate is not to produce consensus. It’s to promote critical thinking.

What is sustaining you right now? For me it’s community. There’s no way to go but forward and it is community that will give us resilience. Lean in and grow your connections - deeper, wider, or both - staying connected matters. 💜

How do you decide who to listen to? I am finding much noise in these days and in the process of sorting through to find those voices that are valuable to where I find myself in my journey. Feel free to recommend people to follow here or on Substack which I started writing on today.

Major life decisions shouldn’t be based on short-term emotions. They should be guided by long-term values.

Feelings are better mirrors than maps. They reflect our present state, but they don't come with future directions.

Don't let today's mood drive who you become tomorrow.

Thanks @thereverendmama.bsky.social for sharing this picture. I totally agree about the importance of community and connection and find community building to be the form of resistance I am drawn to these days.

This quote particularly struck me today. Who will we choose to be?
