Hello! Long time no see. I'm still here + doing a lot of reading and zero writing 🤭

This night person is up too early because our building's grid and generator are off for annual maintenance. I'm reading this novella while waiting it out.

Enjoy this rainy weekend & may your reads always be good!

Sometimes, YouTube's algorithm gives me suggestions that remind me why I pay for Premium (aside from Music and the ad-free experience). And Richard giving Emily a flower before the interview, how sweet 💗

A post on Reddit led me to solo roleplaying games (RPGs), and then to Anna Blackwell’s “For Such Small Creatures as We” and “Dead Air”. I thought RPGs were only for big groups and campaigns a la Dungeons & Dragons, so this is all brand-new to me 😄 www.blackwellwriter.com/collections/...

I've been using Ubuntu Linux since 2009. Here's a hard reminder for me (and you) that:

1. No OS is completely immune from any attack
2. The world runs on Linux, not Windows/Mac. If Linux dependencies fail or are exploited, we're all fucked. 🫠

I've always wondered what it would be like to live in a cave - and be as far away from people as possible for as long as possible, because people are horrible by default. Great read.

Second thought: Homeless man thought he'd finally get food and shelter if he committed crimes like breaking in/trespassing and burglary.

This is only the 2nd autopathography I've seen on SSCD/SCDS, so of course I got it. But I'm taking it slow because I'm in the thick of this cruel invisible disability (& haven't had surgery yet).

Also, I'm working on my own autopathography. It's had a lot of runs and pauses, but I'll get there. 🙃
