Here are some of the projects I completed this winter: lighthouses for the garden, candy dishes, a snack dish, rolling pins, some cufflinks, some wine bottle coasters with matching stoppers, a toothpick holder, some beer bottle bug barriers, wine stoppers and a wine cup.

My latest project. It’s a bowl of spalted maple. I think it’s the most expensive piece of wood I’ve turned into a bowl. I learned a while ago, if the wood is simple, make a complicated shape; if the wood itself is beautiful, make a simple shape. This simple bowl is all about the wood.

Christmas baking has begun.

My handmade 1/4” and 1/8” rolling pins get a real workout this time of year.
