2/2 there is something unique about the experience of putting in a VHS tape having it slide into place and you can hear the spool move as it starts the video. Heard the head move into place. The playback experience just is not the same as Blu-ray. If all you care about is video. Then yeah BR.

The TOS movie era ships were also iconic but a more militaristic feel, IMHO. Very much is an Apples vs Oranges comparison as both have different designs queues. I swear I read somewhere the ILM person who designed the Excelsior did so with a thinking it would be what the Japanese would design.
