During the holidays, our newsroom was scattered, but the newspaper kept going.
Reporting, interviews, pictures, writing and layout — produced remotely.
Printed and distributed to 26'000 households.

☀️ Even during the holidays, Vox POP keeps going.

Scattered across Switzerland, France, and Italy, our young journalists turned their vacations into real reporting ground.

A great example of autonomy and determination. ❤️📰

Mathieu's (11) road-trip with his father and his brother. Freedom and sharing good time.. about beautiful Swiss landscapes and improvised diners.. Made us all dream .. and beside that Mathieu did the drawings and illustrations for the two editions. He is more than just a Team player. Beside his talent and devotion, his shining temper is an inspiration for the hole team. Amazing article about the Plage des libraires at Pornichet. Zosia (12) has an incredible journalistic instinct. She is telling is using such a smart approach to tell her family's story. Her family spends every year their holidays at this famous beach, since close to 100 years. But this beach is not just any beach. It was the spot of the most important french editors... It's a "must read" experience. Alix (10) our Deputy editor in chief shows one more time how detailed her observations are. She is taking us on a trip to Ticino and the lost villages in the Cento Valli region. As usual she doesn't hide her love for the authentic small pleasures. Her subtitle "Enfin l'Italie" tells us something we all knew.. she loves pasta and ice cream. Who can blame her? An here it is: the first Special Holiday edition of Vox POP. Trust me: to organise the entire project in remote is hard but our Production manager Donovan (12) did an amazing job. He not only handled the timeline and the flat-plan.. he did the page layouts behind my back. And the editorial Team did the rest. Célia (15) who was travelling in Turkey and had a tough planning managed the newspaper in a way I never seen before. Yes, we are proud of our product. It's the fruit of hard labour and trust in our Team.

Quelques jeunes, une vraie rédaction et un premier journal à construire ensemble.

Le 21 mai paraissait le premier Vox POP. Trois numéros plus tard, l'aventure continue. ❤️

L'équipe de lutte suisse au rdv avec nos jeunes journalistes - reportage - portrait et ambiance. Un magnifique premier travail de Célia et Zosia. Un duo très fort. Nos rédacteurs au travail. Ambiance sérieuse. C'est notre premier journal. Le chemin de fer avec nos pages. Oui, c'est impressionnant et les choses deviennent concrètes maintenant. Bon pour le print :) Et voilà le N° 1 du Vox POP - Lutte suisse, la chronique d'Esther, les magasins bio de la région et les portraits croisés de l'équipe rédactionnelle.

Dispersés en Suisse, en France et en Italie, nos jeunes journalistes ont transformé leurs vacances en terrain de reportage.

Vox POP - A newsroom also means finding ways to work together.

Our editor-in-chief Célia joined the editorial discussion from the train, while the rest of the team gathered around the screen.

Little by little, the workshop is becoming a real newsroom.
