if people want to smile and nod at it to get RFK the fuck out of there, i think i can swallow that for a bit....just as long as we all actually understand there's not going to be allyship here and you are never going to get rid of their underlying anxiety or desire for control

In conclusion.......Why do you guys think I'm on here all the time talking about how farmers & farm workers are different?

And how knowing that, & how rural power functions, is kinda key to having the US function as a democracy?

It's because we have a mighty need!

Let me give you a thought experiment:

Imagine not just a ban on qualified immunity for authority, but a reversal; a new legal framework, under which authority bears greater responsibility than civilians in matters involving force—as it should.

Absolute Immunity
Alignment with supremacy is a vile choice. Raising the natural costs for those who make that choice by putting first things first.

You should be embarrassed for writing this dreck. It’s not up to you to decide how much antiblackness Cinnabon customers should be forced to endure because you feel sorry for some dumb white broad who couldn’t keep her racist opinions to herself. Shame on you.

Stay in your lane.
I wrote about why we should not celebrate someone losing their job, especially in today’s America, even when they’ve done terrible racist things.

Losing a job should also be harder and involve workers’ bodies not unilateral management decisions.

To be clear, I oppose socialism in this country. But I voted no on HCR 58 as it is fundamentally dishonest.

Words matter. By falsely equating socialism with communism, this reso attacks some of our closest allies and compares them to communist tyrants like Stalin and Pol Pot.

That brings us to 2 Qs. *Does* the climate info mean what you thought? & if it does, what do you want to do--not "about it" necessarily, but *because you know it*? If you want to mourn, or act, how & w/whom? These deaths & proximities to death give us a gift of questions--let's not waste them. (5/5)

A new McCarthy era is upon us. Stupid, depressing, and dangerous as ever. I wonder whose name will carry the dunce cap in the history books. Too many are complicit. I’ll need to find upset and action, but for now I’m feeling grief at the dehumanization inherent to all this.
