A day out! A friend and I went to Contin Woods for a walk, then for lunch in Strathpeffer, followed by a visit to the Museum and some retail therapy. A grand day out was had by us both!

Yes, we all know what happens when we see rainbows. The rain has been intermittent here today, with fab rainbows last night.

Bliss. Taking a cheeky wee hour sitting outside in the sun reading my book, on my day off. Then a visit to a friend's new house, followed by supper with family.

We may not be experiencing the hot weather like some other parts of the UK, but I did appreciate the clouds last night as I returned home from work.

So for the past 2 weeks, I've been on a bit of a mini #grandtour of my own. 1 night in London, 3 nights in Paris, 5 in Switzerland and 5 in Italy. This was something I've dreamed of doing and it didn't disappoint. I travelled by train all of the way to all 3 countries and flew back on Saturday.

@pelagicbirder.bsky.social Yesterday whilst driving along Loch Assynt, quite near the Skiag Bridge turn off, I'm pretty sure I saw a Sea Eagle? Would that be possible there? Huge bird, very different to a buzzard and with a white tipped tail?
