When a character's flaws aren't told to you outright, you kinda just pick up on them through their behavior. They may never talk about an insecurity, but you can feel it the same way you can pick up on someone irl by watching their behavior and the way they choose their words.
What makes a character feel alive to you? For me, the writer has to make them relatable even if I’m a different sort of person or I haven’t had the experiences that the characters do. Yet when I’m reading along, I can feel what those experiences might be like #writingq #WritingCommunity
