I absofuckinglutely love Minnesota!
An ice breaker truck (literal, not metaphorical) just came through my neighborhood. The sound of it rattled my house and I wondered WTF was happening outside. Was shit popping off? Are my neighbors safe? Am I safe?
2021 me: it's just public works doing public works.
2026 me: panic attack.
FDT.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you should probably wash your emotional support water bottle.

Obama had his outside in the cold. Just sayin.
This, to me, seems less about “danger” and more about crowd size. A lot of people won’t want to come out in very cold temperatures and Trump doesn’t want to be photographed addressing a small crowd.

After the Palisades fire burned down his home, Casey Colvin feared the worst for his dogs, who he couldn't get back to despite desperately trying. But after five days, he and Oreo finally got a tearful and ecstatic reunion. "I'm never gonna let him go." 14/10 for all

Every NFL game has asked for a moment of silence for either President Carter (last week) or the wildfire victims in SoCal (this week). And in every moment of silence, there's been an asshole or 100 screaming in the crowd. Can't we just be still for a MOMENT? Fuck.

Yesterday I had a menty-b over tape. Scotch Tape to be specific.
There is little that brings me more joy than gift wrap. In a period of the world that feels quite joyless, I needed a dopamine hit. I put on Christmas Vacation, selected my paper, and went to grab my scissors and tape.
Out of tape.

A Third Woman Died Under Texas’ Abortion Ban. Doctors Are Avoiding D&Cs and Reaching for Riskier Miscarriage Treatments.
Thirty-five-year-old Porsha Ngumezi’s case raises questions about how abortion bans are pressuring doctors to avoid standard care even in straightforward miscarriages.
