Why did he pick MI? The same reason a lot of us did post-9/11: the folks at MEPS did some hard selling for 97E/35M and made it sound like we were gonna be James Bond. Those of us that were worth a shit realized early on that wasn't true and adjusted, but that didn't stop the deluge of shitbags.

Many cosplayers use liquid latex to blend in wigs and facial hair, and I've seen it work as a kind of glue. You could try a little on the inside of the stocking and let it dry against your leg. Might hold, if you're not doing severe calisthenics.
