I worked at a game store in the 90's (Babbages). The 1998 holiday promo tape had the theme to Yoshi's Story playing every 25 minutes.

Almost 30 years later, hearing that tune pop up on TikTok and Instagram reels is straight up cosmic horror.

Microsoft is so behind the times that I'm surprised they didn't add Tiger Electronics and Coleco to their statement.

I still think the 3DO is the future. With major game studios selling to UAE and Microsoft trying to get out of gaming altogether, Trip Hawkins' idea of making the console "developer friendly" (in terms of royalties) is more progressive than anything Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft has done in decades.

I use both environmental storytelling AND annoying character voices in my animations. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That album (and concert) was beyond influential in my life as a creative person. Laurie Anderson's music always puts me in the proper headspace for blowing past "safe" ideas and into new and exciting territory.
