Early gonadal cells are undifferentiated and migratory. Even Dr House knew this on one the episodes. Migrating cells can get lost, never get started, end up the wrong spot. They can also differentiate into testes, ovaries, one on one side and different on the other, can be mixed or not there.

The first thing an embryo is interested in is not sex. It's getting to the uterus and implanting. The 2nd is direction - up, down, left, right, front, back. 3rd is nutrition. Only when these common things are setup does a fetus start differentiating sex organs.

This is an improved way to think about sex development. This diagram shows gestational development. The 1st 2 months are solely designed as setting foundation which is the exact same for males and females. There are a lot of moving parts in development, way more than we ever thought.

How we were taught in the past and what the current executive order tries to reinforce. These concepts derive from the 1911 book "Mendelism" by Reginald Punnett. Yes, that Punnett. For over 100 years, we have been locked into the notion that XX=female and XY=male. We've come a long way since then.

Someone recommended to me to port some of my discussions from various social media sites. I will probably get lost in the forest of everything but happy to help carry the message.

Everyone, of course, is dropping thoughts on the horribly written HHS report today.

Just finished reading the new HHS Gender Dysphoria Report. Terrible article. There was no consistency. It haphazardly cobbled together already debunked anti-trans talking points and pseudoscience. There was no methodological analysis at all. The references were all over the place.
