Hi #PortfolioDay! I’m a Canadian illustrator with a special focus on friends I meet in my garden. I use halos to portray animals, plants, and fungi as icons, emphasising their sacredness as living beings, however mundane.

I made this piece back in 2022 for Ukraine. My heart is broken that my wish for peace for them has still not come to be. I think I need to make an angrier one, because none of us should rest until Russia has been driven back and Ukraine is once again free and sovereign.

I really don’t know what to do about all this *waves hands wildly at everything* but I will make sure there are plants and habitat here no matter where borders are drawn or which despot is in charge. Borders are fake but love is real.

Burnt out using any social media platform nowadays, want to get to a point where I can sell more of my art but feel like everywhere is plagued and not worth putting the time into, I’m going to just go to the forest and live off the land turn my phone off and never look back.

If you are trans/intersex/nonbinary/queer you are not unnatural. Nature loves, craves, delights in you. After all, she made you. The woods will never be transphobic. The meadows will never tell you to keep it at home. The bog will never yell slurs. You are the most natural thing that there is.
