Went into Canadian Tire the other day. Almost bought me a Luigi hat but didn’t. Went in two days later and there were only Marios left.
I’ll be happy to see all the Luigis (Luigii?) out this Halloween but I’m about 75% sure someone ‘at corporate’ had them pulled from the shelves.

Coffee is crucial. Often it’s just taken for granted, like putting in your socks and showering (not advisable in that order). But some mornings, some slow mornings, I take a moment to just admire it sitting in its cup. The anticipation feels like xmas morning or waiting on a first date.

I used to be irritated and confused (occasionally pleasantly surprised) by You Tube’s suggestions panel. I’d get random crap that any self respecting algorithm would just know I had absolutely no interest in.

Truly monstrous. Those of us paying attention saw this decline coming for ages, but now there is no hiding the US is just a grotesque ‘shithole’ nation spiraling faster than any of us could have imagined. And it doesn’t have to be this way, it’s manufactured by psychotics and allowed by the people.

worked in the kitchens for decades. These chicken cuts used to be scrap or in soups or chicken fingers at best because of the tendon down the middle.
worked at a place that was just tossing them before I came along and mentioned the idea of soup to them.
Now they sell this stuff at almost $30/kg.
