IT'S BRUTAL.
I finally got the Ice Beam and found Kraid.
HE'S BRUTAL.
Like, nearly impossible to dodge shots AND land hits.
Oh, and it's basically impossible to get back on the platform if you fall off.
So... NES hard = nigh impossible?

I've started trudging my way through Metroid on the NES.

I finally got the Ice Beam and found Kraid.
HE'S BRUTAL.

Everything is a WIP, sound effects are placeholders. Working on an arena game mode for a demo, trying to get enemy behaviors right between evasive/aggressive, gonna be adding more nuance to them soon. More playable characters are coming along nicely too.
