The deep problem of democracy is that voters can be fooled by fascists into giving it up. There should be guardrails - like, candidates and parties who espouse racism or who promote a religion or who lie should be banned from elections.

This is what I think of when I hear that an AI agent has gone beyond the bounds of an experiment. Except more malevolent.

Ouch - AI is not going to cool or heat your home.
In my opinion, AI data centers are not a great use of energy given AI’s use for fossil fuel exploration and surveillance and … a lot of skullduggery, in addition to the strong likelihood of coming job losses.

Not to bring everything back to climate change, BUT- this Lion Nebula began to form just as the avg global rate of sea level rise slowed to a trickle, at the start of the Holocene.
Just a correlation, not a cause- but maybe a new nebula is forming somewhere now, as sea level accelerates again.
