#gameshows The Reel Game was a short-lived game show, hosted by Jack Barry, that aired on ABC in 1971. The series marked Barry's return to producing national television shows after a 13-year hiatus following the quiz show scandals of the 1950s.
The premise was to answer questions via film clips.

#QSLfriday On October 4, 1947, radio station KOBE began broadcasting from 902 North Main Street in Las Cruces, a Pueblo-style building (formerly the La Fonta Café). The facility included two broadcasting studios, two announcing studios, a newsroom, library, a recording studio, and general offices.

#gameshows Although they aired decades apart, these two seemed to belong together. "Charge Account" (aka "The Jan Murray Show," 1960-1962) and "Debt" (1996-1998), with host Wink Martindale. "Debt" was Lifetime's highest-rated quiz show.

#QSLfriday WLAC was first authorized in November 1926 and was owned by the Life & Casualty Insurance Co., with its call letters chosen as an acronym for the owner's name. Studios were located on the fifth floor of the Life and Casualty building in downtown Nashville.

#gameshows On the short-lived "Magnificent Marble Machine," contestants partnered with celebrities to answer trivia questions and gain control of an oversized pinball machine. The program, hosted by Art James, premiered on NBC on July 7, 1975, and aired until June 11, 1976.

#QSLfriday After Harry H. Bliss, the owner of The Janesville Gazette, acquired the license for WCLO and moved operations to Janesville, Wisconsin, studios were constructed on the third floor of the Gazette Building, and the station began broadcasting on August 1, 1930.

#gameshows Queen for a Day originated on the Mutual Radio Network in 1945 and ran until 1957. The show then ran on NBC Television from 1956 to 1960 and on ABC Television from 1960 to 1964. Each contestant was asked to talk about the recent financial and emotional hard times she had been through.

#QSLfriday WOMI made its debut at 7 pm on Monday, February 7, 1938, becoming the seventh radio station in the state of Kentucky, with a live celebratory broadcast from the Hotel Owensboro. A modern two-story Art Deco building had been constructed to house the new broadcast operation.
