Today we celebrated The Dot Day in my classroom. The Dot is a book by Peter H. Reynolds about a girl who doesn't feel she is good at art but learns that everyone can be creative and make their mark. Today was a full day of fun!

One of my students told me she had a surprise for me yesterday. She worked really hard at home to make me this book. I absolutely love it! I am so happy she loves me, our classroom and our school 🥰 2nd grade is the best!

My students worked in groups to show numbers in different forms. They worked hard together and were able show their work to the class after I taught them how to do it! I am so proud of my class!

I have to tell a funny story from today. All of our 2nd graders were lining up and a little boy in another 2nd grade class looked down and saw my shoes. Kid: Those are kids shoes
Me: I know I have small feet
Kid: That's okay kids shoes are better adult shoes are boring 😆

I have to tell a funny story from today. All of our 2nd graders were lining up and a little boy in another 2nd grade class looked down and saw my shoes. Kid: Those are kids shoes
Me: I know I have small feet
Kid: That's okay kids shoes are better adult shoes are boring 😆

I have a great class this year! We are getting the routine and stamina for work in 2nd grade. I am not sure what is was about today though. I had 4 kids crying over various little things. So glad tomorrow is Friday!

Last night was a great night at the ball park with rodeo night and a drone show! It was my first drone show and a lot of fun!

Spent a bunch of time in my classroom today! My husband and daughter also helped me. It is looking so cute now in my classroom! Can't wait for the first day on Wednesday!!

Went to my classroom today and got a lot of work done. Still a lot to do to be ready for the first day. However, I absolutely love this new rack for all my curriculum teacher guides and my desk is looking nice to match my new classroom theme. Next will be putting up my new decor.

My husband put my new classroom banner up today and we laminated all my new decor. Now I have to cut it all out so we can start decorating my classroom!
