Day 11: a deer jumped in front of my car so I had to deal with that and didn’t get anything done.

Day 10: Finished up the pro-bono commission. Despite needing to trace some of the features, it ended up pretty snazzy. #HDG

Day 8/9- Someone was looking to get a meme made up for them so I volunteered as practice. Been trying to make it good and still got a lot to do. Still needed to do a lot of tracing for shapes but it’s something.

Day 7: Finished that one story sketch. Despite needing to trace the structure, I’m happy with how it turned out.

Day 6: didn’t really have much opportunity to really do anything I actually wanted today. Was preoccupied and don’t realize how late it had gotten. Not exactly proud of my progress yet. Still trying to find my footing.

Day 5: in order to avoid a panic attack I just worked on this. It’s not finished and a part of a larger work I’m doing for story material. To my shame, I still need to trace the basic components to get anything half-presentable. Really hope to figure out how to work on that.

Day 4: Feeling insanely burned out between trying to figure out how photoshop works and trying to watch videos from a bunch of different sources. I feel like everything I do is just wrong and everyone is telling me how to run but I can’t even crawl yet and I don’t know where to even start.

Day 3: I mostly spent the day watching more Ctrl+Paint and doing some basic contour drawing of objects.

Day 2: I spent a majority of the day watching Ctrl+Paint videos to get a sense of the basics, then I sketched a bunch of angry anime faces to prepare to make something I needed to make for my story. I ultimately still ended up using the hysterical Yuno Gasai as a reference because it worked well.

Day 1: I figured the best place to start was crtl+paints series on digital painting to develop fundamentals. So I spent the day drawing circles to get used to using my shoulder. I also tried to visually measure my pencil sharpener (not well) and made a bunch of spoons.

I'm not an artist. But I want to be. My entire reason for making an account here is to document that endeavor. Today is Day 0. And I've made this art of my character that motivated me to develop this skill. I'll be redrawing this a year from now with what I learn.
