Won't shut up.
Never been involved in student politics but it looks like it's making some waves in France.

If they willfully celebrated their participation in warcrimes I would not be able to stomach that but that's a different matter.
October 6, 2026 at 8:34 PM
Eh, I could honestly forgive people who've been in either, militaries (like terrorists) target the young and foolish and if I felt that being a fool was no grounds to be a friend then I'd be excluding myself as well.

They do not have equal rights though more than the rest of the Palestinians who also lived there.
October 6, 2026 at 8:29 PM
As is there are Islamic, Christian, Jewish, Hindu and probably other religious institutions in the Uk who hold that belief, which is bad, but they're not ethnically cleansing a people over it.
October 6, 2026 at 8:24 PM
The difference is, if a woman in the UK disagrees with submitting to her husband, she herself can choose to distance from that community (whatever religion it adheres to).

If a Palestinian wishes to live in their homeland without being attacked and abused and often killed they have no such option.

No.
October 6, 2026 at 8:09 PM
Weird. I don't make friends with people I don't think are worthy of loyalty.

If there are no Synagogues in your area which do not materially support the genocidal apartheid state Israel you can always start one. This does not preclude practicing Judaism.

I don't see how. If you are angry about things that keep happening over which you have no power that can stew into malice. Its an emotion, if it leads you to murder innocents - it's an excess of it.

Malice can be legitimate and legitimately channeled - but murdering innocents isn't. P. simple.

I mean I think RUNNING a sex trafficking blackmail ring raises particular questions (did u purchase or get blackmailed by) but at the same time I don't really think ppl should be judged for *just* being friends with someone not even Epstein.
October 6, 2026 at 7:53 PM
I believe malice comes under "an excess of emotion".
October 6, 2026 at 7:45 PM
What's the difference in terms that determine who is or isn't a capable of being a friend?
October 6, 2026 at 7:43 PM
Huh? Why not?
October 6, 2026 at 7:31 PM
Weird? I assume you wouldn't extend that to members of (any country's) armed forces or anything?
October 6, 2026 at 7:30 PM
If I am friends with them already I presumably have reasons I love and care for them and I imagine their decision making, should it be true, was based on either faulty reasoning or an excess of emotion, I can forgive both those things.
October 6, 2026 at 7:29 PM
So? She may well believe it. Why is that some weird gotcha?
October 6, 2026 at 7:11 PM
Nope, don't need to the details don't make a difference here.
October 6, 2026 at 7:10 PM
Its kinda funny to make comments like that when the ultimate thing here is defending Israel cuz... yeah kinda, true of several members of the government and almost everyone involved in founding the place.

So yeh these things happen and my judgement is more decided on the whys.
October 6, 2026 at 7:08 PM
I saw the charges.
October 6, 2026 at 7:06 PM
Well "poor judgement" is rather more common and far less a severe charge than the insinuation that was meant by making this connection though isn't it. Because there isn't a sudden flurry of articles in the media about it to highlight her "poor judgement".
October 6, 2026 at 7:03 PM
At this point in time I am simply defending the principle of standing by your friends. I know nothing about this guy.
