There was this one episode of the series where Eeyore was off sitting alone and the others try cheering him up with things they like but it doesn't work. Then Pooh just sits with him for a bit and realizes that he's not sad, just watching cool shit in the sky. As a melancholy kid, that spoke to me.

Eeyore has always been my favorite winnie the pooh character because his sadness is never treated as a failing or a burden. He's just sad. He likes his friends and he wants to be a part of their lives but also he's sad. I always liked that.
