Weapon degradation had the opposite effect for me that was intended. Instead of forcing me to try and experiment with new weapons I wouldn't use I ended up avoiding using any weapon that was even remotely unique and pretty much avoiding combat whenever possible.

I feel like Fear and Hunger and LobCorp have a similar issue which is their world and tone want you to feel like you have to make tough choices and difficult sacrifices, but mechanically, losing more than a single limb from a single party member is just a doomed run and you might as well quit/reset.

China is arguably adopting GenAI at a faster pace across all facets.
Sure, it’s not putting all its eggs into one basket and the space has greater regulation and direction. But it’s very much adopting the tech in ways that are also seen as negative here.
