When we took office, NYC had a $12B deficit. Today it’s zero.

And we didn’t close that gap on the backs of working people. We closed it while funding parks, libraries, safer streets, & public housing.

Call it Pothole Politics or Democratic Socialism: We are government that delivers for the people.

Go to Youtube. Find his channel, find yesterday’s post, “A bridge too far.” The most powerful eloquent statement about Alex Pretti and where our country is.
Regarding the below statement, are you listening, Grassley, even tho you are 92 and addled.
Every politician who calls this “freedom” should be dragged back to the dirt roads they forgot. We are not the fringe. We are the foundation.
The working class is not your ATM, your cannon fodder, or your political theater. We are the muscle behind the myth … and we are wide awake now.

There are some people in the Democratic Party saying we should weaken our stance on abortion to win elections. I want to make it clear: Iowa women can count on me to fight for their right to make their own healthcare decisions.

There are clear differences between candidates on this issue in the race for US Senate in Iowa. Rep. Turek has never sponsored a single piece of reproductive rights legislation - the only Democrat who hasn’t done so in the last 3 years. And Ashley Hinson has voted to ban abortion nationwide.

Being a champion for reproductive rights means showing up to every fight. During my 7 years in State Senate I’ve fought back against Republican attacks on women’s rights and cosponsored dozens of bills to protect them.

Despite what we are often told, this line from Mamdani’s inauguration speech is what true pragmatism actually looks like:

“Beginning today, we will govern expansively and audaciously. We may not always succeed. But never will we be accused of lacking the courage to try.”

We need a new generation of leaders who are the voices of democracy, freedom, social justice, & the rule of law.

A new generation that renews the “we” in “we the people.”

Instead of fretting over Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic Party should embrace him as part of its future.

@mcuban.bsky.social cherry picks one comment to support his anti-healthcare view. Here’s how you do it: Tax. The. Rich. @warren.senate.gov put out a plan for 2020 elections, I canvassed for her in Iowa and was precinct captain. Do that plan, fund healthcare, childcare and more. #billionairetears
Well said. And it's 100s of millions impacted.
From the beginnings decades ago, they went in a direction of more public solutions, while we stuck with the employer-based private system. As everything has grown, it’s grown bigger, and it’s grown more $$$, and it’s hard to imagine how to switch without pain for 100s of thousands. The plan matters

I like @Mark Cuban I really do. But he doesn’t want to understand how universal healthcare would get set up. Here’s the way.

Mr Cuban,

I just wanted to quickly thank you. My husband has XXXX cancer, a rare gastrointestinal cancer. We are between insurance right now and when we went to pick it up we were informed it was $29,000. We were able to get it from CostPlus for $990. Thank you for saving my husband's life.

I support Wahls for the next Senator
Iowans need a Senator focused on bringing down costs for families rather than giving handouts to their billionaire and corporate donors. It's time to take on the corruption in DC and put money back in Iowans' pockets.

Iowa State Senator Zach Wahls (D- Iowa) joins Meet the Press NOW to discuss his Senate bid and how he will address affordability concerns in the 2026 midterms.

I’m sick to death of the DSCC throwing money at the other candidate - let the primaries happen and fund THAT candidate
“I want to see Graham Platner in the U.S. Senate. Not because he’s perfect, but because he seems ready to fight the right battles — with grit, honesty, and a vision rooted in service. My purity test isn’t in his past; it’s in my children’s future.”
