This is a supervillain monlogue. I will never understand how anyone can watch this man say things like “a whole civilization will die tonight” and fail to recognize evil when they see it.

vindictive, vicious cruelty designed to humiliate and criminalize every trans person in kansas

horrifying fascist shit reminiscent of the runup to the literal holocaust
Kansas is sending letters to trans people telling them that their licenses will be revoked as of tomorrow and that they risk arrest for driving on a suspended license.

This is pure cruelty.

Raskin: In any event, if he really cared about public safety in DC… he would not have pardoned 1600 insurrectionists and violent cop beaters on his first day in office.

The District of Columbia is under attack today — not from violent gangs or thieves, but by the President of the United States.

The President's weaponization of the Home Rule Act is a direct attack on the 700,000 residents of DC and we will not stand for it.

We've reached the point in our descent into fascism where the Jewish governor's house getting firebombed on Passover by a guy trying to bash his head in with a sledgehammer is overshadowed by the story of the President saying he wants to build foreign gulags for US citizens.

As of Friday, there have been 46 cases in which federal judges have blocked Trump policies.

The rulings in those cases have come from 39 different judges appointed by 5 different presidents (of both parties) to 11 different district courts across 7 different circuits.

Maybe it's not the judges?

Today I'm filled with admiration for my university's president, Chris Eisgruber. He's standing up for Columbia and for universities as a home for freedom of ideas, debate, and thought - free of government attack. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...
The Cost of the Government’s Attack on Columbia
American universities have given the country prosperity and security. The Trump administration’s attack on academic freedom endangers all of that.

This blatantly illegal move by the Trump Administration should have severe consequences. None of his remaining cabinet picks should receive a single Democratic vote until all is remedied and we can ensure this won’t happen again.

Congress holds the power of spending, not him.

For folks who say, "Why should I even bother calling my Democratic Senator? They'll vote the right way..."

I need you to understand that when Dem electeds try to justify why they're cowering in terror from Trump right now, the VERY FIRST THING THEY CITE is:

"no one's calling my office"
