We learned about oil spills and how they affect the ocean. We experimented with oil, water and fairy liquid and then tried to remove the oil using cotton wool and spoons. We found that cleaning up oil spills is very difficult!

After lunch, we entered the class to a shocking sea pollution scene. We discussed how pollution harms animals and what we can do to help, then added pollution effects to our dioramas 🌍🐠

We viewed CCTV footage of aliens landing on our school roof! They left us a note asking us to explain why they should stay at our school. We used ‘hot seating’ to practise saying our explanations before writing them.
