It's hard for me to imagine a scenario in the UK wherein Andy Burnham successfully manages the British economy so that people in the country are able to prosper. Sorry to say, I think he is going to go down in flames like his 7 recent predecessors. Sooner rather than later. He's got no game.

The German ME-262, the world's first jet powered aircraft made its first successful flight entirely on jet power on 18 July 1942. It had a cruising speed of 465 mph, which was faster than the top speed of most other fighters of the day.

I never post about sports but the lack-lustre performance of USMT last night against Belgium deserves comment. Were the US players sleep walking? It sure looked like it. The US goalie made the most bone-headed play of all after having some great saves in previous games. What the heck happened?

Churchill and the British War Ministry had some tough decisions to make during WWII. One of them in 1940 was concerning the attack on the French fleet at Mers-el_Kibir in Algeria to prevent the vessels from falling into the hands of the Germans.
