Fighting so hard for irrelevance

And they’ve been spending quite a lot of lobbying and R&D money to ensure this outcome

You are absolutely right….we must definitely increase pressure on governments and the transport sector to increase efforts and importantly stop dropping the ball on key decision. Such as the 2035 zero emission ruling, or pumping billions into h2 nonsense instead electrification of heavy transport.

We are running and we have not gotten worse. Effort is being put into solutions, and they are showing effect. I like having a bit of hope

Classic Vatnik bullshit

Russian is destroying itself fighting a limited regional conflict. Even if NATO never touched a Russian soldier and only secured Ukraine west of the dnipro it would free up Ukrainian forces to actually make a push. Russia is a propaganda super power and you show their effectiveness
September 10, 2026 at 5:03 PM
Agreed not tangible progress, yet a perhaps hopeful message that progress is very possible. Transport can be decarbonised, we are actively doing it, just not fast enough to outpace growth
September 10, 2026 at 1:55 PM
Russia cannot operate outside of the Donbas. What are they going to do against NATO? What are we so afraid of?
September 10, 2026 at 1:50 PM
The upsight in this is that transport as in km driven, ton/km produced has increased dramatically in this timeframe. So flat emissions is actual progress

23% percent of the total US Debt in its 250 year history is accumulated under Trump

De VVD blinkt net als conservatieven in de hele westerse wereld uit in het nastreven van de duurste, minst effectieve oplossingen voor verzonnen problemen.

To be fair, he is running the govt like he ran his businesses. USA is just a little bit harder to bankrupt. He’s trying though
July 7, 2026 at 12:45 PM
The difference is that she is not doing that
June 25, 2026 at 2:55 PM
Only governments pay for nukes because the only reason to have nukes is maintaining the expertise and workforce to have nukes (not the powerplants). So only governments have any reason to subsidise the powerplants to the extend required. They have never and will never be commercially viable

Note the important distinction “whom they consider white”. That consideration has and will change.

A competent and rational US would. But a competent and rational US wouldn’t be in this situation in the first place

Inability of the US to service its debt

The ioniq was not a budget car. It was firmly mid market and quite expensive. 38.000 euros when new. Current budget EV 20.000. Including 5 years of inflation. Apples and oranges mate.

That said, ioniq was and is just a very good car. And a good second hand choice over a current budget ev

@marineschepen.bsky.social hier hoor ik graag meer over via jullie
April 7, 2026 at 2:36 PM
That’s interesting. Most EV’s five years and older have been relatively upmarket. Luxury cars have generally higher depreciation regardless of drivetrain I think
April 7, 2026 at 2:34 PM
The difference in technology and capability between a five year old ev and a new model vs the difference between a five year old ice and a new one could explain something
April 7, 2026 at 2:21 PM
Short answer, yes. And you can make do with a lot less than 1000.
