Won't name the drug of choice, but I gave up and intentionally OD'd when I was 27. In most of the source canon, I was about 23-24(19-20 in GSC).
I chose to do it near the Bell Tower. I half hoped Ho-oh would show, but I think what I saw was a hallucination.

Sleeping still feels like death sometimes. Not so bad when I do choose to do it, but when I'm so tired I can't will myself to stay awake, it does feel a little too much like those last moments.
