When Everett Wess for U.S. Senate visited us last month, he pledged to put Alabamians first. The U.S. government needs to spend less money on wars, he says, and more money on hospitals in rural areas and on veterans’ healthcare. The people of Alabama deserve better.

Vote blue for a better Alabama.

When AshLeigh Dunham spoke to our group, she told the story of how her IVF journey spurred her to run for a spot on the Supreme Court.

After two failed IVF attempts in Alabama, Dunham sought help in Oregon. The doctor told her it wasn’t her body that failed her; it was her state that failed her.

At our meeting last week, Phillip Ensler challenged us to talk to our neighbors about voting. These races are winnable! We just need to reach out to people who may feel disillusioned with voting because the system often doesn’t feel like it works.
