Today is October 1 — the Day of Defenders of Ukraine.

Thank you to everyone holding the line since 2014. To the ones who went to defend it and never came out.

And to the medics who run toward the sound everyone else runs from, and hold a life in place until the next hands come.

Slava Ukraini! 🇺🇦

"They are the ones who should be standing here. They can't. They're working."

Leleka Foundation has received the Certificate of Merit of the Order of Saint Panteleimon — Ukraine's highest civil award in healthcare — for humanitarian service.

The award belongs to the medics.

Another packed backpack, another pair of hands we trust.

This one went to Olha, who runs the medical post of the 31st Brigade of Ukraine's National Guard. In her hands it doesn't stay in her hands — it gets checked, assigned, and sent forward with her medics.

Our Ukrainian team has been named to Focus magazine’s Top 100 Most Influential Ukrainians — 5th in the “Volunteers” category.

In 2026, Leleka delivers $170,000–$210,000 in medical supplies to the front every month. Total aid since the full-scale invasion has now passed $16 million.

8,000 pieces of tactical medical equipment: tourniquets, hypothermia blankets, chest seals, pulse oximeters, drag stretchers.

More than $26,000 from @novaukraine.org — already out of our Kyiv warehouse and in the hands of medics on the front.

Notes from the Front 💛

These photos came from medics of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade, named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa. A Leleka backpack, drag stretchers, and tactical medical supplies are now in their hands on the Donetsk front, where fighting has not let up for months.

On 11 September, CU Theater — Ireland’s first Ukrainian theatre — presented readings of two Ukrainian plays at Trinity College Dublin: The Woman with the Fridge by Marta Shyiko and Victoria’s Little Secrets by Alina Sarnatska.
65 people attended, and €650 was raised for Leleka and frontline medics.

Take a closer look at what’s inside a combat medic’s bag. 💛
No standard kit exists — every medic builds their own. But this is the base our Ukrainian team packs by hand in Kyiv: tools to stop bleeding, stabilize the wounded, and buy the minutes that save a life.

The reports we value most come from our medics. This photo is from Olha, a senior frontline medic, with a fully equipped Leleka backpack. Inside is everything she needs to treat the wounded in a critical moment — packed by our Ukrainian team and now where it belongs.

You usually see our drag stretchers finished, in photos from the front. This time, our Ukrainian team visited the production and filmed the process. From there, the stretchers go to our Kyiv office and then, on request, to frontline medics who rely on them when every second counts.

The smallest thing in a medic’s bag might save a limb. Every month, our Ukrainian team procures universal splints — one for every frontline medic’s backpack we equip. When a fracture happens under fire, this is what a medic reaches for. Small enough to forget, vital enough to change an outcome.

Meet Victoria Talkington — one of Leleka’s steadfast donors. A Ukrainian flag hangs in her home, signed by frontline medics — an unexpected gift that made her cry. She came to Ukraine not through heritage, but conviction: the invasion was wrong, and she could help.

Thank you, Victoria. 💙💛

We continue introducing our Ukrainian team. Meet Vadym Abramov. Every day, he and one colleague pack and ship Leleka’s parcels to medics — $200–230K worth each month. He also receives and unloads large medical deliveries and keeps our Kyiv office “workhorse,” the tireless green van, on the road.

Received, unloaded, and headed to the front.

Our Ukraine team received another Leleka shipment from the US — 10,000+ units of tactical medicine: chest seals, gauze, bandages, thermal blankets, IO access devices & more.
Dollars raised in America → gear in medics’ hands.

Despite everything, we keep going. Two fully assembled tactical medicine backpacks are now in the reliable hands of Mykhailo and his colleagues — already at work on the Kharkiv front.

June 2026 in numbers — each one represents a medic better equipped to save a life 💛

Thanks to you, Leleka delivered $189,964 in tactical medical supplies to frontline medics in Ukraine.

Every delivery can mean the difference between life and death. Thank you for making it possible.

Meet Lesia Mokrousova. In March 2022, she stood in line at the enlistment office with her son. A deputy director at a private clinic, she was sent to the Irpin military hospital as a nurse. In 2026, she transferred to a frontline unit and now serves as a paramedic on the Lyman front.

We're always glad to receive photo reports from the military. Today in your feed: Ivan, a sanitary instructor with the National Guard of Ukraine, and a range of tactical medical supplies from Leleka. All of it is already at work in the Donetsk region.

Russia brings only death and destruction, erasing peaceful Ukrainian life.

The world must see it and act. Silence is a choice. So is looking away.

Leleka stands with the medics who run toward the wreckage. Stand with them. Donate. Share the truth.

💔 Another morning of loss for Ukraine.

Russia’s missile attack on Kyiv and the Kyiv region killed 17 civilians and injured 40+ others.

Homes, warehouses, logistics centers, and a postal depot were destroyed. These were civilian targets.

🕯️ Eternal memory to those killed
