Question for my Solo TTRPG players:
If a mini game is on theme, how do we feel on the success rate being pretty random but often times low? I tend to feel that almost all RPG mini games I've played are more random than skill based, but I also fear that failing more often than not might be a downer.

Update: Changing course absolutely feels like the right move. I've transitioned over to new brainstorming sessions, and I already feel way more creative. I have a basic premise, and I'm working towards the body of the project. Super excited about what this could be!

Okay, so how bad of an idea is it to set my current game to the side for the next couple months to work on a game jam?
I’m realizing how much I’ve bitten off for my first game, and I think it might be worth doing something smaller/less intense to help make sense of a lot of this… 🤷

I have officially made the jump. I’ve deleted every Meta account I’ve ever had, both business and personal. Meta has been a part of my life since I was in middle school. It’s the only way I know how to contact a lot of people from my past, but I can’t be part of what it is becoming. Shame.

My partner and I travel for a living. It’s a great life style that we’ve absolutely loved, but it does mean tearing down/setting up the office every 3 months. I think Willow has taken quite a liking to our new spot! With all that said, office is up, so now back to work!

Anybody have any words of advice for a first time TTRPG designer? I'm working on my first project, and I feel like every time I have a decent breakthrough, I just find the next wall to stump me again. If you've got any good advice, I'd love to hear it. Or any book/podcast/video recommendations!
