Choose Your Own Constraint! Hey hey, HADders! Lexi Rosen, here. While you can normally find me honking over at Silly Goose Press, Aaron and Crow were kind enough to pass over the keys to the skull pile this week and I can't wait to hand some out! I am SO excited to read your very best, RULE FOLLOWING pieces. I'm interested in constraints, patterns, syllables, rhyme schemes — whatever rules you've decided to follow are fair game for this call. Prose and poetry are welcome, but know that I prefer flash fiction and poems that can stick to one-ish page, and let's limit page counts to 3-5ish. That said, I care way more about the rules you're choosing to follow than the ones I lay out for you. Pretty please with a cherry on top let me know on a separate page (the last page, if possible!) of your attached submission document what rules and parameters you've decided to set (ie, I didn't use the letter E throughout the piece, I only wrote in haiku, every third word is an onomatopoeia, I had to use the word canteloup at least twice, etc), and feel free to include something about why, if you wanna — I love a craft choice and would love even more to hear about your process.
