I’ve compiled a video outlining two ways sewage can end up in the River Itchen.
The first is through sewage spills, like the recent incident on Bishopstoke Lane. The second through sewage discharges, like the ongoing one from Harestock Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Volunteers came together to replace 40m+ of fencing, helping protect riverbanks and vital habitats for species like water voles.
Highly recommend joining a future action day, great for all ages!

Colden Common’s first Park Homes Convention was a great success with strong turnout from Avondale, Glen Park, Sunningdale & Ideal Park.

Colden Common’s first Park Homes Convention was a great success with strong turnout from Avondale, Glen Park, Sunningdale & Ideal Park.

Last week at Full Council, I supported a motion to better protect our precious rivers and chalk streams.
While the motion did not go as far as I would have liked in adopting a full Rights of the River approach, it was a step in the right direction, and one I was pleased to support.

British politics is a mess. Food, energy, housing are all too expensive. Major parties are all flogging the dead horse of trickle down. So I’m joining the Green Party. Britain needs an economy that works for workers, for small businesses, and future generations. @greenparty.org.uk
