To openly scheme to deny thousands of people their right to choose their own national identity sounds authoritarian to me, it is literally illiberal.

I love the folklore around these things. This is the Clochoderick Stone between Lochwinnoch and Bridge of Weir. Was apparently a rocking stone where ancient pre-Christian priests would dispense justice with the accused atop and depending how the stone moved.

HMG should not be using X/Twitter. But when I submitted a petition to parliament to ask that all HMG dept's and offices stop using the platform and delete their accounts I received this gobbledygook as a refusal.

Hotels? Plural? My understanding is that only *one* other hotel was evacuated, the Voco Grand Central, and that was because it's literally attached to the collapsed burning building.

A slight digression...I attempted to start a petition via the House of Parliament website to stop HMG using X/twitter, managed to get the first twenty signatures for it to be put forward and checked, received this response which I'm still scratching my head about:
