Microsoft wants to build a 160MW AI data centre just outside of Leeds, next to the River Aire. By its own numbers the resulting habitat loss is massive. The reedbed and wet woodlands will lose 87% of their biodiversity value whilst the site as a whole will lose 72% of its existing wildlife habitats.

It seems that the far-right and their appeasers in the media are now going after the RNLI for saving lives at sea.

How far has our country fallen? What’s next? Kicking Chelsea Pensioners? Waterboarding Mary Berry???
Extreme right-wing protesters are in a stand-off with the RNLI in Portsmouth. The group, led by Danny Tommo, are waist-deep in the sea and threatening to go "under the water" if police try to arrest them. Six lifeboats monitoring. Volunteer rescuers giving up their evening for this.

This #pavementparking across from a school forced me into the carriageway this morning. The driver shouted to tell me that it was only for a few minutes while they dropped off their kid. Well, I also have a kid, and this endangers lots of people.

The AfD and Reform immigration policies are almost identical. There is no plausible reason for considering one far right and the other not.
Watching BBC News and it's striking to hear the presenters repeatedly referring to the AfD as "far-right" whilst refusing to ever say the same about the hundreds of actual masked blackshirts currently swarming British ports

The fascist’s friend: a national emergency. Pretend that the country is being invaded by immigrants, then you can do what you like.

I wonder why Spain hasn’t taken action against all the British invaders.
