As far as I can discover (please correct me if I’m wrong), no government minister in either this or the previous administration has used the phrase when discussing people’s protests about the genocide in Gaza. Or about climate breakdown. Or about any other protest that challenges established power.

A formal diagnosis can help some people, it doesn't help everyone though. Restricting the ability to get diagnosed though is disgusting. It is all part of this ongoing trend of trying to deny support for neurodivergent individuals and act like we don't exist.

Is there a positive connotation to being sent to a concentration camp I'm unaware of? Because it sounds like an unambiguous threat of specific harm to a protected minority group to me.

Are they threatening trans users directly? No. Trans folks in the US have been targeted repeatedly. That's awful and you have my sympathy.

PS. Though there aren’t public numbers, it’s very likely that the bulk of Rowlings wealth comes from the big US Entertainment corps. We don’t have Harry Potter theme parks here - just a tiny studio tour in London. The TV show is on HBO Max, I couldn’t even subscribe to that here until March 26.
