Important statement as we head into a new academic year.

Self-swab kits are still being promoted to students.

Their use is not
recommended by Rape Crisis centres, the Police, the NHS or the FFLM.

Pleased to have brought this motion to Full Council and even more pleased to see it moving forward.
Everyone should feel safe and welcome in Bristol's parks.

We've been pushing for upgrades to parks, with a particular focus on making them safer for women and girls. We're pleased to see the Council's progressing our plans.

Best not to lie. Labour:
- created the minimum wage
- is raising the minimum wage
- is equalising wage rates
What we didn’t do was cheerlead for Tory austerity and the coalition government’s attempts to role back workers rights from the Lib Dem conference floor
When Blair and his tech billionaires come with demands to pay workers less, the Labour government caves in 48 hours

Workers rights are not rights at all unless applied to one and all.

Pay all workers the same rate for the same job. Now.

Two in five arrested for the summer’s UK riots had been reported for domestic abuse.

Police data shows overlap between public violent disorder + domestic abuse.

I wonder what the stat will be today?

It’s the Bristol Green Party who removed BDA2901 ‘Housing and/or housing for older people’ off the plan for Southmead, instead allowing it to be used for a van dweller site.

It was Bristol Labour Party that did the groundwork for a huge social housing devt. of 177 homes on Glencoyne Sq. Southmead.

Online pornography is not just entertainment, it has become a harmful form of education.

It promotes the idea that pain for women is pleasure for men.

It instils the notion that to be close to a woman is to dominate or degrade her.

Too often, victims and survivors are trapped in abusive situations because of debt and financial dependence.
