There are exactly three (and only three) superheroes with an unbreachable moral code, optimism, and the worth of humanity: Superman, Wonder Woman, and Captain America.

I cannot think of an author less suited to write about any of them than Alan Moore.

Not Alan Moore. Mark Waid would be a far, far better choice.

Harlan Ellison would be suing them NOW over this.

What an awful situation.

Um, she actually *died*.

He seems unaware that, y'know, *Davey Crockett died at the Alamo," which fell to the Mexicans.

Susan Brownmiller pointed out most men weren't rapists, but all men benefitted from rapists keeping all women "in their place."

He's actually married.

WHY a woman was ready to settle for this lunatic I have no idea, but one did.

I'm surprised the Pope hasn't at least *thought* about excommunicating some of these whackaloons.

Very interesting essay. One thing that I think the institutional Catholic Church may do is allow married priests, or at least permanent married deacons. In many countries they won't have a choice.
October 5, 2026 at 11:14 AM
I'm convinced of it. Men hate women and always have.
October 5, 2026 at 10:27 AM
I am convinced that the Right sees women solely as sex toys, childbearers, and housekeepers/cooks. If they could eliminate us entirely, they would.

Trumpsters want some of my dearest friends dead, and me stripped of my civil rights and reduced to the chattel of a male cousin I haven't seen in 40 years.

The idea of "figuring out differences" with such people is risible.

Shame on you.

Point.

He had a cold and was severely jet lagged.
October 4, 2026 at 10:57 PM
They didn't want him to begin with, and then they turned on him like rabid wolves after the Afghanistan withdrawal. The NYT's precious, precious forever war was gone, and whatever would they do now?
October 4, 2026 at 10:56 PM
I genuinely thought it was larger than that.

Still, that is about the biggest "DO NOT FUCK" warning I have ever seen.
October 4, 2026 at 10:54 PM
Fascinating, that being forced to have a child *doesn't* drastically change how a woman organizes her life.

Roger Stone is such a Nixon cultist his entire back is covered by a tattoo of Nixon's grinning mug.

Rand Paul was literally named after Ayn Rand, apostle of selfishness. Of course he won't help.

And the filthy little kapo Stephen Miller, who is such a repulsive knobhead he got booed off the stage in HIGH SCHOOL.
