Jim Stanford: “This claim of interprovincial subsidization is completely false. Alberta pays no money to Quebec, or to any other province. The Alberta government, like other provinces, receives huge transfers from Ottawa to help pay for health care and other programs.”

The amount of Amazon workers relying on SNAP and Medicaid has nearly tripled since 2020. — while Amazon’s annual profits soared by over 550%.

It’s the same story everywhere: corporate profits are at record highs, while workers’ share of the economy is at a record low.

We must unrig the system.

The ultra-wealthy keep trying to pit the rest of us against each other with scare tactics ("communists!" "men in the ladies room!!" "brown people!!!" "drag queens!!!!") to keep us from noticing that our real problem is THEM.

They want us to fight *any* war—except a class war.

Happy Labor Day.

Dear Ontario Government, please do something to make the province look more attractive for tourists. Open up welcome centres again, clean, attractive with maps and brochures for various attractions. People do not want to hunt and peck online to find local attractions while on the road.

Just returned to Ontario from a trip to New Brunswick. After travelling to NB and Quebec, I see what a s**t hole Ontario is as soon as you cross the provincial border. From the stupid “open for business” slogan to the filthy Enroutes, it’s actually depressing to be back.

We travelled to NB via NY, VT, NH and ME, to save some travel time. Hotels and campgrounds, especially in ME, have lots of vacancies, unheard of in Aug. Food prices in the US have been very high since Covid. Arrived in NB, campground is full.

Why does he need so much control?
