Whenever possible, take 24 hours before saying yes or no! I’ve found I’m far more clear eyed about the costs of something and the reasons to say no after sleeping on it.

Conversations here are shifting to reflect dual threats in the Arctic, from the U.S. and Russia; we are destroying the very relationships that have kept us safe. Please, contact your representatives and ask them to treat our friends as friends, not enemies.

We are quickly becoming less, not more, secure because we are treating our friends like enemies. Demanding to buy another country, insulting our longtime allies, and imposing tariffs is causing so much damage to the friendships and relationships that have provided security and peace.

Many of my friends and colleagues I have made here have collaborated with the US and with other allies to protect the Arctic from threats, including working with the U.S. military to help them train for Arctic conditions and working to counter Russian propaganda.

For @adamrenberg.bsky.social and me, some of the brightest witnesses to Christ have been believers from the global early and medieval church. We’re excited to be able to share some of their voices with you in “Candles in the Darkness,” coming this summer with @ivpacademic.bsky.social
