I wish people would stop being so pretentious about writing. It's a craft like any other. Plot serves the characters and characters serve the plot. You need to build both and can start from either. Don't blame your inability on describing a story on plot

Continuing our effort to try and get the torso right. I think I'll be going more deconstructed for the future, trying to see and draw the actual boxes that make up the body. We'll see how it goes!

Continuing our effort to try and get the torso right. I think I'll be going more deconstructed for the future, trying to see and draw the actual boxes that make up the body. We'll see how it goes!

Really proud of today's practice! I adopted the friend's advice ("torso + hip then connect") and it worked pretty good I'd say. Arms could still use some work, but overall this was very good.

I just love drawing Dwarf Laddies. still working on the Aesthetic of Art-Deco Anglo Saxons (mostly the helmet, Cloak, belt and sword hilt, but the sword its self is more or less along gladius with a migration era-ish hilt.

Another day, this time with an easier posing challenge from @trueref.bsky.social's flow tool!
I actually liked this one enough to keep drawing for a bit in the evening, so that's getting posted as well. Still a long way to go though. Also tried tinkering with shading for the first time!

This time on the drawing challenge, Lobster hasn't learned his lesson about perspective shots way out of his skill level. Also I'm upping the time to 15 minutes because 2x10 minute drawings plus eating doesn't work out in a 30 minute break

Day 4! No tablet accessible lunch break for today or yesterday so it was evening painting. Got frustrated with none of the artworks really working so I went on to the next one each time. Not that they got that much better but hey.

Got extremely lost in the legs with this one. Anyways, I managed to configure Krita in a way that doesn't feel like fighting the pencil so that's nice. I made a template that has the guidelines too. Maybe I keep to them some more in the future

Running DnD 5e kinda feels like you're in a "I can fix them" type relationship. You change half the rules because they're overly restrictive, outright ignore another quarter and finally make up the last quarter from scratch. Can be fun but I wonder how much more fun it is playing a game as intended

And today's also the second day! Which meant dying at the hands of Krita and the lack of a mouse (I have a drawing tablet)!
That's the main reason why we only get one drawing today. Needed the first half to figure out stuff and set it up.
