i get why they're not, because heroes are flashy, but imagine how insane true crime or murder mystery shows go

all might said police aren't well respected because "they get villains dropped off at their doorstep", but holy shit they should be! detectives especially!!

because even if the super strength or whatever made it easier to commit the crimes, almost all evidence is now obsolete, so actually convicting is impossible, right?

there's no way to rewrite laws well enough to prevent someone from cloning you and using the clone to commit a crime

how many people were wrongfully convicted because they were cloned? how many people escaped because they plead shapeshifting

the suspect could always make the claim that it was someone mimicking or shapeshifted into them

how would you even solve crimes aside from catching someone in the act? blood may be the best bet, but quirks like twice can copy blood

what is even the point of dna (blood, hair, fingerprints) or video evidence or fucking anything when shapeshifting quirks and cloning quirks all exist

The overall sorrow reflects both Venti and Dvalin's relationship and situation very well. It's actually just perfect to me.

If i had to make this a scene and place it, it would be after Venti had just woken up, before the Traveler sees him for the first time. This moment, of trying to heal Dvalin and failing, makes him realize he can't help Dvalin on his own - or at least that Dvalin won't let him help yet.

Venti could even get rejected here because he was leaning so hard into the "Let me help you/I'm here," angle, which angers Dvalin, because "You weren't here when I needed you/It's you I'm upset with."

Yaelokre vocalizes before those lyrics, which leads into the most intense moment of the song, and of our scenario here.

This is Venti's last attempt to remind Dvalin, before he gets rejected fully. Dvalin drives him away, and Venti just feels a lost for a moment.
