It doesn’t seem apparent to me either. I’d wished this week I had the energy to go through all the post 9/11 regulations and practices to find and highlight what’s been dismantled or pushed to the side by this administration, in building codes, banking, etc.

Since humans can make any AI an existential threat with skill and💰, we ought teach non-tech humans how to evaluate the risk of an AI’s humans.
Debate is too often blocked by writers’ anti-AI position. If writing AIs were referred to as WrAI, we‘d have smarter conversations about AI as a universe.

Which is even more important in light of Large Language Models, trained without regard to fiction or nonfiction, using context and probabilities to make a best guess. While research might begin with a LLM, it must be cleared through other means, such as by a visit to a Library, to be reliable.

I subscribed a family member to your paper after their move to a senior living apartment community and have talked to 8 agents since August 2 as the paper was only delivered on one day. Each “escalates” the issue and thanks me for calling. How do I reach someone who will solve the problem?

More important than their grift is the damage to the banking system. While Warsh, Fed Chair, might resist the interest rate moves trump chooses, he may give in on pulling teeth from bank regulations. Congress has oversight responsibility of regulators - we need to tell them we want this stopped.

So sorry your mom is dealing with this. Some doctors are using AI to determine the risk of prescribing opioids to patients now. Not finding the article I was looking for tonight but these folks are doing good work getting info out about the undertreatment of pain if you have time to read.

In the town I left where one data center is in progress and another inevitable, in my 🏡 that likely had a historical stream running under it, I wondered who was worrying whether data centers’ draw from underground 💧 sources would increase probability of sinkholes. Anyone know of research?

This story would make a terrific story book for kids, so that we may begin to chip away over time at the number of Americans who struggle to explain the Rule of Law. It could be used in the civics for 5th graders class I wish for.

There‘s a CCC shelter in Lockport, IL, on the I&M Canal (original hang-dug canal that filled in a final connection betw the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico). It was along a short cut I used often for the 5+ years I lived nearby. I stopped a few times to remind myself that good change is possible.
