The hypocrisy of Texas, requiring companies that distribute “sexual material harmful to minors” to confirm visitors are over 18…

…while hosting countless child beauty pageants that sexually exploit kids as young as 2, and where child marriage is legal.

Wow! Republicans pick the best people. 🙄🤮
For those of you glued to the Hegseth confirmation and may have missed it, Nancy Mace screamed that she was a grown woman and then immediately challenged Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett to physically fight her… so there’s that. Mace continues to be an embarrassment.

ICYMI—Highlights from today’s Pete Hegseth confirmation hearings. 🔥

SPOILER: Pete Hegseth was gaslighting the entire time, because he knows he isn’t qualified or worthy to serve as Defense Secretary.

Elizabeth Warren: "It's safe to assume that when he says he has never disparaged women in the military, he's just trying to see what he can get away with. Because we've got the video, we've got him in print what he has just said as recently as November of 2024."

Keep up the good work, sir.
Today, I signed an executive order prohibiting greedy land developers from ripping off LA wildfire victims with unsolicited, undervalued offers to buy their destroyed property.

Make no mistake — this is a prosecutable crime.

Both Commander-in-Chief Trump³⁴ and his Secretary of State designee Pete Hegseth have violated Article 134 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice

Both men are vulnerable to black mail/kompromat

Neither of them would otherwise pass the smell test for top secret security clearance

America at risk

Exactly!! And we will be here to remind them!!
The Hegseth hearing is doing one thing incredibly well: it’s establishing that when his leadership at DoD fails, it’ll be clear that GOP Senators knew, excused it, and they own it. Serious concerns about experience & judgment are literally being laughed off.

We would respect Republicans if they would actually nominate someone that is qualified for the position. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🙄🙄😡

Corporations give money to Trump because they, like him, only care about themselves.

Who else is really looking forward to not watching the Inauguration?

As it should be. 😁
Whoever runs The Carter Center socials & the photographer that captured this shot are national HEROES.

There is something so beautifully poetic about a narcissist being eclipsed by a statue of someone else 😭

BREAKING — Joe Biden has pulled off the impossible: positive job growth EVERY SINGLE MONTH of his presidency.

The last negative month was the last full month of Trump’s first term, December 2020.

Top-notch photography is often about choosing the right angle and perspective.
this choice of photos by the Carter Center is shadier than a Georgia peach tree in summer

Take that nay sayers!!
JUST IN: The U.S. added 256,000 jobs in December, surpassing expectations and bringing the total for 2024 to 2.2 million. The unemployment rate dipped to 4.1%, and wages grew 3.9% over the past year, far outpacing inflation.

People once had to buy fire insurance. If your home was on fire and you didn't have insurance, the fire department would let your home burn.

That's our current healthcare system.

One day, health insurance will seem just as radical as fire insurance.

Pass Medicare for All.
